that rabbit has been there for several hours.....nephew saw the mate come in and move the sitting eagle off the eggs, which hooked him.

Nice. for the Texans here, there is a nest about 6 miles east of Llano, on hiway 29. Its clearly visible from the road. The eagles fish in the Llano river. i owned a place just east of Llano and you could watch them working their way up the river. Beautiful critters...as soon as you would start watching them they seemed to know and just disappear.

This is pretty cool, been watching here and there. Lots to eat up in that nest, they have land, sea and air covered.

Aberdeen Proving Ground here in MD has a bald eagle preserve and is home to 162 eagles at last count. It's pretty cool to see some of them out during the day.

That's pretty dang cool. I got me a new racing buddy with wings. When I leave in the mornings a red shouldered hawk that hangs out on teh wires from my 'hood's entry, he sweeps down along side of me and races me to 40mph before making a straight up line for the power lines. First time I saw him, I wasn't sure what he was, but today I caught him up on the wire coming in for lunch and saw his breed. Cool freakin Hawk
