In the above story, a guy had his lawsuit thrown out because his job offer was not a binding contract, as he thought it was. Primarily, the judge said there was not yet an agreement to his 3 conditions he requested.

The reason for the school board rescinding the offer? He used the word ladies, as in "ladies and gentlemen," in an email.

No joke, thanks to the woke.

They said it was a microaggression.

Where does free will fit into this? With the parents subjugated to this horseshit. If they would exercise the free will to fire these nincompoops, things would get better.

How do parents fire anyone in a public school with the protection of the teachers union?
By actually doing something other than Jacking off to their fantasy football and what ever other retarded reality show bullshit people are into now. And I don't mean cry and bitch online or even going to cry to these woke bastards. They prefer that they are making you mad. They have zero empathy for your position because they are psychopaths.

Run for school board. Be a teacher, be a principle, be a superintendent, or one of the many other people that support schools and interact with students. Or keep leaving it someone else....

"The teachers union." 🤣🤣🤣 It's always "the teachers union." Allowing the the actual "teachers union" that does something to operate with relative anonymity. There are hundreds of teachers unions. All teachers are not represented by one union, and many teachers are represented by no teachers union.

I'd agree it wasnt a binding contract, but their reasons werebullshit woke garbage. As said above, he's lucky he found out before being married.

Different note. A principle works 5 days a week, 9 months a year. Thats 20 days per nonth x 9 = 180 days pre year. He gets 30 vacaton and 18 paid sick daysso thats 48 days off. 180 - 48 = 132 days work for 150 K. Thatsd $1136 per day and 1 of 3 days off. Not bad for sitting your ass behnd a desk.

In the last couple of initial offers I received from my last two corporate entities, the offer letter itself was written as a contract. Tbey expected me to sign it and return it as if it were a contract. In fact, the salary offer was monthly (I.e. "Your salary will be X$ per month, which annualizes to X$ per year). This way, if something goes wrong the company is not on the hook for a whole year's salary; only a monthly amount.

How about I just homeschool my kids so they get a real education?

    This!!

I'm curious what some of you do to make your community a better place for kids?

Anyone? Or is it just more fun to whine...

The "teachers union" will give toe nail fungus and bad breath if you try. 🤣🤣

An actual organized school offers a lot most homeschool kids dont get. School ain't all about learning the three Rs. 🤣🤣🤣

There are a lot of school districts I wouldn't want to send a kid to either. I don't envy what you guys are dealing with on the front range, with the group of people that have completely goat fucked my state into oblivion.

    That is not completely true.
A close relative was a principal for a small school. She only got (less than) six weeks off in the summer.
While the teachers were gone there were still things to be done around the school and lots of paperwork.
Bunch of administrative stuff to be done.

If it is a high school, now you have to add in being there for ball games and certain after school events.
So you get to spend your Friday night a the football game whether or not you want to be there.

F*** them! I'd never trust any children to their indoctrination BS. Weingarten can pound sand for all I care. I'll form my own accreditation agency. And I'll fight any effort to mandate compliance with state BOE's all the way to SCOTUS. They cannot tell me how to raise/educate kids,.

Like what? I'm not saying they have to be doing book learning 24 x 7. There are plenty of ways to create social communities and play groups for sports, and "socializing." One just has to organize it and put in the effort for it. There are church groups, and things like that. There are also alternate "private" schools that could focus on socializing etc. You do your home schooling 2-3 days a week and go to the private school for your social education the other days (where no academic instruction is given). It can be done, if organized properly.

Like being sexually assaulted by an assortment of school employees, being violently assaulted by other students, and/or completely ignored by school administrators and “graduating” with the honor of not being able to read or do kindergarten math

Yeah, I knew a lot of that, just being a dik LOL. I reckon my big eye opener was a month of (paid?) vacation and 18 sick days. Day'um

Sadly its come to that in many places. Where I grew up in rural Virginia in the 50's it wasnt like that. If you fucked up you got paddled. If you really fucked up you got paddled then beat again when you got home. If you had a beef with somone you went behind the gym. Even the big farmboys who were 4 grades behind were good people, they might thump you on the head lightly to fuck with you, but nobody got ridden too hard. I flushed an M80 down a gas station toilet late one night. Blew the whole thing off the wall. We got caught and got our drivers licsense suspended for a month or two and had to pay for the toilet repair. Imagine what would happen to us today.

    Life was good.

This right here. "Socializing" in a big school means being stuck in a building with people you may not even like.

If I could homeschool children, I would have also been able to monitor with whom they "socialize." Maybe other like-minded parents, even church.

When I graduated high school, my graduating class of 1982 was 827 students. Total student population was a smidge over 2,000.

The number of friends I had could be counted on two hands. Of those, there is only one of them I still am able to talk to and care about and that is because, after all these years, it turns out we live in the same county. It is a strong friendship. I value it in spite of him being a democrat.
