The Russian way...If you cant create it, steal it.

Perhaps the Russians should just ask the Chinese to sell them the plans to just about everything and information on just about everybody in the defense industry that they hacked in and stole over the past decade. Maybe the Chinese don't like to share and tell the Russians to go do their own hacking of military secrets?

Hi,

That case is nothing more than dumb asses making money and not really about Russia stealing anything.
Shit if anything exporting ATN products to Russia helps the USA lolol.
But in reality if you want to see just how NOT behind Russia is in regards to night vision technology...just go visit IDEX this coming February. There is a reason that 1 of the 7 Emirates in the UAE is pretty much ALL Russian businesses with Emiratee partners.

Sincerely,
Theis

Would be funny if most of what you can buy in terms of NV wouldnt be made in ither Ukraine, Belraus or Russia and sold under various US brands ,the Cheaper ATN are even chinese . NV is one field where Russia and co more than hold their own.

Brand? Price?

Hi,

Brand is Archer at https://archer.ua/
Price, that one is going to depend on what a USA Importer is going to charge for the importation and their direct markup.
When I checked with Archer last February they did not have a USA Importer/Distributor lined out but I am waiting updated information from them right now.

Sincerely,
Theis

Hmm.. just think about. Russians actually buying desirable goods.
The steeling is done by US citizens for profit.
Why is that? Because everything in US is for sale; it all just depends on the price and only thinks that matters are greenbacks and preferably a lot of it. That is the system that US created.
Note: I’m not defending Russia; just stating the obvious.

What you stated was gibberish

I don't think what he said was meant to come out gibberish but that's what comes out when "someone" that might not have the best command of how English is used colloquially tries to put out their daily assigned talking points without help from a dedicated linguist on staff.

I think perhaps we might just have our next sock puppet candidate.
Registered and then immediately jumped into this thread with a dig against the USA.
Totally botched grammar and making a mess of his statements with pretty bad English.

They could be legit, but I'm suggesting they may be a good sock puppet candidate to have fun with as the piñata of the day.

Didn't ITT get in some shit a few years ago when they had some NV equipment made in China and then were surprised to learn that China was "reverse engineering" it.....did I just make that up.....seems I heard something about it

It's funny, a friend of mine working for an image sensor company can't let a Chinese researcher work on image intensifier stuff even though my friend can and the company was bought by the Chinese government.

Hi,
As we all know "Better" is in the eye of the beholder :) But you can pull down the specs of each and compare them. Some things the Archer is better and others the INOD is better..All IMO of course. Archer unit is half the weight. INOD has better frame rate. Archer has better resolution size. INOD has better FOV.
Anyone know what the startup time from Standby the INOD is? Archer is 3 sec.

Sincerely,
Theis
