Alright guys, after a unnecessary two month hiatus and a somewhat yawn-inspiring first half, our favorite show is back.

Catch it right now 9pm Eastern and again two hours later.

Grab your shotguns and popcorn and let's hope for more action and less wasted time out of this second half!

Re: The Walking Dead Season 2 part 2

I am at work and will have to catch it when I get home...DVR is set.
I just hope someone gets smart and finds a 22 rifle and a couple bricks of ammo and they drop by a Home Depot for some "can" makings. This would make their life sooooooo much easier.

Re: The Walking Dead Season 2 part 2

What a bunch of crap... I have to watch the comic book guys to see the preview for next week....

I will say the car crash was a bit typical.... who would have guessed.... Only one zombie in the whole episode.

I made it through about 5 mins of that comic book show...

Why did she decide to go into town anyway? I wonder if she's going to end up missing and they'll spend the rest of this season searching for her... Anyway, the bar scene was cool but I'm praying for more action (more Dale I mean Daryl) this time around.

Re: The Walking Dead Season 2 part 2

Well watched it after getting off my shift this morning. EH! I have seen worse in season 2. The bar scene was good. I am about tired of Rick's Bitch and her drama. I hope she goes missing for good. Yeah, what the hell was she going to town for? Just doesn't make sense.

Re: The Walking Dead Season 2 part 2

This Show is going to hell. I new it was doomed when my girlfriend started watching it in season two. Screw feelings and Drama! Get to the zombie killing!

Reminds me of the unit. Was good until all the wife's and feelings got involved!

I expect as much from Murphy McManus

Re: The Walking Dead Season 2 part 2

I haven't had much of a chance to keep up with this show because it's late on a work night for me, but thank God for the marathon this w/e. I got all knowed up.

As for the episode last night, I was reflecting on all the drama today. Honestly, if this were a real scenario, the main obstacle would be the human dynamic of having to work together with strangers to survive. I don't see these slow moving walkers as a main threat after the first few weeks. Like in the show they seem to be petering out and will eventually succumb to lack of whatever it is that sustains their current animated state. It's fun to watch the zombie killing, but it gets old eventually too. If you were in that situation for real, it's the finding food, menial tasks, burning bodies, sanitation, and all the other survival shit that would take up 99% of your time and having to work with people you don't know on top of it. Talk about stressful.

Anyway, I think the drama is an important aspect of an apocalypse scenario. It's what I fear the most of in that context, my fellow man.

Yup.

That's why TWD isn't as much about zombies as the drama of family, interpersonal relationships and survival in a stressful situation.

LOL you might be onto something there. End up with the old doctor guy cutting a half human-zombie hybrid out of her.

Sounds about right, and what i gather is going on now, is that they have to deal with a band of rouges who are pillaging/whacking zombies/probably killing and raping survivors as they work their way across the country.

And why the hell hasn't daryl raided a sporting goods store for more crossbow bolts?

Re: The Walking Dead Season 2 part 2

Yea, the first season was better so far, but even though it's a Zombie show, there can't be zombie killing during the whole show. If I wanted to watch that I would just play Resident Evil. It's more of a post apocalyptic survival show with zombies, and how the group deals with it, not just a bunker up and shoot as many zombies as you can show.

That being said, I wonder if we're ever going to see Daryl's brother ever again, or that Black guy with his kid from the first season? That would be really cool. I also want them to get the hell off that damn barn. Nothing exciting ever seems to happen there.

Re: The Walking Dead Season 2 part 2

I'm offended they portrayed the two assholes from Philly the way they did. Yeah sure, its accurate, but its still stereotyping. LOL!!! we get a bad rep even in the zombie world.

I hear that. I was a little upset myself. I wasn't so much offended they were assholes, because I'm proud of my assholery (lol), I'm offended they were killed so quick. Oh well, I'm rooting for Rick, but according to the sneak preview there are more of his friends from philly that come and look for them, so maybe we'll get some pay back.

Re: The Walking Dead Season 2 part 2

LOL, yeah, I'm in Ricks corner as well. Shane is an asshole hung up by the fact that the hottest women of the group doesn't want him. I think its pretty cool they set up the background with Shane being the ladies man in high school. Once the leader and good guy, he looks like he is slowly transforming into the groups' problem child. good stuff all the way round so far though. Fantastic show

nah, she's bit too skinny, if a man was well endowed at all he'd poke right through her

Re: The Walking Dead Season 2 part 2

He basically just said if you think Ricks wife is hotter then you have a small penis, lol.

Anyway, Glen better bring that chick with them when they leave. She's too hot to leave behind. And he better not stay there either. I want that place to get overrun with zombies and kill everyone but the hot chick so she has no choice but to leave, lol.

And that's my prediction. Although I think there's a strong possibility that Hershel might get shot by the other guys from philly.

Also, I just looked it up and her name is Maggie, and her real name is Lauren Cohan and she's from Philly. And here I thought that sexy southern accent was real.

Well all be damned who woulda thunk it....kinda like that Cote De Pablo on NCIS a brazilian playing an israeli in america....

Re: The Walking Dead Season 2 part 2

Id rather take a run at Hershals older daughter. Nothing wrong with Ricks wife, though. The blonde from the begining has way to many issues to deal with. She has a bit of sociapath growing in her.

Rick is British too ya know. I was freaked out when I saw him in an interview a couple weeks ago and he had a strong British accent.

Re: The Walking Dead Season 2 part 2

it's pretty amazing how many British actors there are playing americans better than american actors.

the guy from House
the guy on Strike Back
the guy who played merlin on Camelot but in Flash Foward
etc.

Re: The Walking Dead Season 2 part 2

Good episode. I hate this waiting for a week per episode thing. I'm so used to watching shows on Netflix and plowing through like a half a season in one sitting, lol.

Commercials suck too.

On a side note, there's no way in hell I'd have been able to watch the show "24" on tv. I would probably be pulling my hair out at the end of every episode, lol. At least The Walking Dead doesn't end every single episode on a crazy cliffhanger.

Re: The Walking Dead Season 2 part 2

Best episode of the second season. I am glad they finally got back to some zombies and tight pucker factor scenes. I gotta take issue with the knives going easily in and out of the skull. I know from experience it is pretty hard to pull a knife out of the skull. Likely to break the blade off jerking it around like that.

Looks like the producers got our collective message about the lack of zombie kill'n.

Well notice while Shane was stuck in the bus he knifed a walker in the skull and the knife got stuck. I doubt you'd break the blade unless you had a really shitty 10 dollar knife. Shit, what if it was a Strider or something like this? Striders are very similar to the Honey Badger, in that they don't give a shit, lol. They kinda looked like some Cold Steel folders though to be honest, although I'm not 100% sure which ones they were. I've got the tanto Recon 1 folder, and that thing is bullet proof. Not gonna snap in a zombie skull.

I thought that was a cool looking knife, until I saw the price!

$328 <- fuck that!

Re: The Walking Dead Season 2 part 2

A knife properly forged by a master bladesmith will not break when pulled and twisted in a vise, let alone a human skull. It will also remain reasonably sharp through such heavy duty use. I doubt they could find such a knife since they seem completely retarded about obtaining 22 rimfire equipment. But I still watch the show much as you would watch a trainwreck, you know you should look away...but you just can't.

Re: The Walking Dead Season 2 part 2

Still wondering about the utility of the whole "cut my hand and smear blood" scenes.

It's not like the walkers will wander away if there is no blood on the fence....
