Oh man; that trailer's got me hooked. 02-12-10.
Also, Ian Mckellan's interview today about <span style="font-style: italic">The Prisoner</span> has me waiting, and he reveals he will play Gandalf/Mithrandir in <span style="font-style: italic">The Hobbit</span>, which will be split into two movies. Filming in New Zealand to begin next Summer.

Im with you I hope they dont butcher it, Im more of a fan of the older movies than the modern ones, I guess I dont like to muck special effects with the monster being 9ft tall if that makes any sense.

Caught the matinee today. Good flick, even Celia liked it. She was resigned to seeing it, but she ended up liking it. Minimal gore, plotline follows previous works, loosely, lots of well done, seamless CG effects. Del Toro, Hopkins, Weaving are very good. Emily Blunt is demurely gorgeous, very good characterization.

Thumbs up, super graphic gutting, strong character development, acting and CGI is top notch, another fine remake with advanced movie techniques...it's hard to beat

Not particularly thrilled with storyline. But they stuck to the original style and I really appreciated that. Over all i give it a B
