Court clears way for Illinois to become first state to eradicate cash bail

The Illinois State Supreme Court upheld a provision in the SAFE-T Act that eliminates cash bail. The law is set to take effect on Sept. 18.

God forbid a homeowner shoots a carjacker or a pedestrian shoots a violent mugger/rapist in action that he just came upon to save the victim in time. The shooter would be charged with murder, held without bail, and even if he beats the charges in the end, he would be financially ruined.

They figure there are about 425,000 illegal immigrants in Illinois. It seems pretty suspect that democrats would throw a real tizzy over 100 people. It also makes me suspect of the person they are trying to make look like he is doing something, while he does absolutely nothing.
