We are having a MASSIVE uptick in "bad trips" because of all these bullshit, unregulated, concentrated THC gummies, treats, edibles, etc, etc. There is no knowledge of what a given around of THC does this or that to the body. No studies, no standardized dosing information. Nothing.

You could argue all day about that, However, there is a rather different issue:
Admitting that you get drunk as a skunk sometimes in a safe environment with no danger to yourself or others = no problem with your 2A rights according to Federal law (and generally state laws).
Admitting that you do the same but with the weed stuff or other drugs = Bye Bye a good part of your 2A rights under federal law and many state laws.
So say your first post that you put up which seems to pretty well indicate or strongly suggest that you have personal experience using those special edibles...... Now that is out there forever once the search engines / NSA / Google find it.
So now you go to exercise your 2A rights and want to buy a new gun in which case pretty much in all instances you have to fill out a federal form.
Choice A. Admit you use said things and are disqualified up front right off the bat from the purchase
Choice B. Do not admit that, and hopefully be fine, but run the risk of federal charges & jail time if somebody has a reason to follow up on you specifically.
So the moral of the story might be to STFU about certain things if there is no upside to it. (Or you know just don't do drugs).

It actually is. Doctors here (REAL doctors, not doc in the box) can recommend it and there's forms and such to go with it. My doctor has been tyring to get me to use it for years, that it IS less dangerous than most other drugs, alcohol included, and it's about as close to a panacea as you can get. I'm just not that fond of it? CBD, the non-psychoactive ingredient in cannabis has been almost completely deregulated and is for sale OTC in many place in US that don't recognize THC. Some say it's a lifesaver for certain pain issues.
My thing is based on principle: WTF gives the govt. the right to tell people what they can and can't do in personal time time. Total control, just the tip of the iceberg. Stay divided, stay intolerant, and they'll be able to ride roughshod over us all. Personally, I don't need nor will tolerate a totalitarian regime that insists on planning out my life, and punishing me for going astray or thinking for myself or disarming me for "safety" vs. liberty.
