Not in my opinion. There's plenty of good videos on the tube on how to bed actions into stocks. The principles are all the same regardless of what kind of stock it is.
The existing bedding, since it's for an action of similar footprint, doesn't even need to be completely removed.
308pirate is spot on, if it's a good deal and you like the chassis get it and redo the bedding to get the most out of it and avoid any frustration due to inconsistencies.
It is fairly easy to do and fairly cheap if you do it yourself.
