I have a surefire 7.62ss and Im considering getting another AR in 6.8. I would be using this rifle for hunting and can't stand the NFA lead time. And of course the cost of another suppressor. I have done little research online, but I should be able to suppress the 6.8 with my surefire 7.62 can. Does anybody have any experience on this or advice?

Are the 6.8 barrels threaded the same as a 308? Or would he need an adaptor? Asking because I have a 6.8 and never thought of using my can on it........

The AR15 Performance(ARP), Bison Armory, Wilson Combat and BHW(Black Hole Weaponary) are 5/8-24 with the correct SPCII chambers. Hard to go wrong with any of those shops when talking about the 6.8.

A few other brands use a odd 1/2-36.

I spoke w a Surefire Rep yesterday and he said that the 762ss can would work just fine and supresses the 6.8spc quite well. Yes the 5/8-24 thread pattern is what most 6.8 barrels have. I'm thinking about going LMT, so the MB762SSAL/RE would be the break to use on the 6.8spc.
