They are attempting to make "law" which is not in their mandate or authority.

I read the who document from ATF. They claim that all they are doing is defining currently implemented policy (read that how you will). Braces will not go away, but if a brace appears to function better from the shoulder than as a brace it will be classed as an SBR.

In the end, pretty much the entire NFA needs to be scrapped as it is garbage and was garbage when it was passed over 80 years ago. The entire point of the SBR definition was because the NFA was suppose to ban handguns entirely. That did not make it through, but for some reason the SBR language stayed in the bill even though the only point of it was to prevent work arounds on the handgun ban.

Leave the brace off completely and make a shoulder harness that has a pocket for the buffer tube that you can strap on like a shoulder holster .

I haven't had any problems shouldering my brace because its technically not touching my shoulder.
