I noticed this, but it's gotten worse in the last couple decades. I turned off cable and don't miss it. Netflix, Amazon and Hulu and some DVD's and I'm fine. No commercials or bitching about gun bans or whatever. None of that helps me and it doesn't affect my vote, which I'm coming to believe means very little anyway. I seem to get fucked regardless of who is in office.
I feel we are headed toward a civil war but I could be wrong. There's certainly enough hate and division to get one going.

we used to be a republic. Much closer to a democracy now but more like a Oligarchy.
Speaking of mindless mind control, why don’t you break down Sinclair Broadcasting’s actual statement for us rather than throwing a spaz fit because they made it across their properties via loacal broadcasters...who you thought were making up their own news casts?
You want to see what’s bad for our Republic? Read the NYT, and then watch the MSM for a week as they parrot the same hyper partisan themes over and over hour after hour.
We can turn away, avert our eyes, and simply tune them out.
