Absolutely agree that as far as WRC drivers go, he's not up there. However, my point was to illustrate the extreme danger and technical aspect that goes into a rally event whether it be a PR stunt or an actual WRC event. He's no Colin McRae that's for sure. </div></div>
Probably didn't convey it too well, but wasn't dinging Travis at all. Just the idea that every marketing endeavor has to be "new improved record setting" blah blah blah rather than just a good ole "look at how cool this shit is".
Travis certainly has to have a wheelbarrow to get his balls from here to there
....and having worked a few events and met him I have to congratulate him on being a truly genuine nice guy. I would love to see him race again, as it was his inability to ride with any moderation whatsoever that made for a less than stellar motocross career. He either lapped the field or stacked it up into the bleachers. This would make a WRC campaign extremely entertaining.
