I worked with a few hundred South Africans overseas. Most of them were there because these policies have made it nearly impossible for them to work at home. For many years the SA govt has dictated what jobs you can have and what businesses you may or may not own based on racial class: white, black, or colored. There were a couple of Rhodesians who kept saying "wait till they take your land like they did to us". I guess they didn't have to wait all that long.

Rhodesia has some of the most fertile land on the continent, and they now starve because of land "redistribution".

I also support the Welfare state. Programs like Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid are investments into the stability of our country. Places that outright ignore the welfare of their citizens get over run with violent revolutionaries more often than not.

It also means that the foundation of my system of beleif is based on individual liberties. I am even a steadfast supporter of the 2nd Amendment. I've been a National Rifle Association member since before I could vote.

We should be pursuing trade agreements with other countries; instead a suposedly Republican president shit-canned the Trans-Pacific Partnership.
