Well down in Texas, the pale face is shortly to be in the minority.
If you count illegal "immigrants" then the pale face is already the minority.
One important point to remember, is the pale faces usually get properly counted in the statistics / census, everybody else, there are a lot more than show up in the official numbers.

I know several SA's as well. All very polite, considerate to all, and have a hell of a sense of humor. That being said, I've seen a few of them set their jaw, dig in and prepare to settle things when crossed. The Boer Kommando mindset still runs deep in most of them...
Hell, we had a rifle team and an armory inside the public high school I attended. Even had the public school buses take us (and our slung rifles) over to the nearby University's indoor range for live fire practice. Now that I think about it, we still had smoking breaks too, between 2/3 period and 4/5 period (legal age of smoking was still 16 back then). Things have changed a lot. Last time I visited my old high school, it was more like a prison. Metal detectors, chain link fence bolted to the window frames, local law enforcement patrolling the halls. A damned shame...

I would absolutely love to see someone try to separate the two. If you give it a go while standing with both feet in the liberal camp you will find yourself wrestling with the likes of the Brookings Institutions assessments of SA (using blissfully liberal words such as "inclusive" and "global") and The Atlantic who has gushed over South Africa's progressive liberalism and just yesterday set very high expectations of liberal stalwart Cyril Ramaphosa. Liberalism is the ideology explicitly invoked in establishing the post-apartheid state, be it from Margaret Thatcher, the NYT, or our own passage of the Comprehensive Anti-Apartheid of 1986.
The white Liberal Party of South Africa was instrumental in bringing about the government we see in power today. In fact, it has been their stated dream since 1954. I cannot wipe a dark smirk from my face while considering two facts: Ramaphosa received iron clad support from whites, especially liberal whites, in his rise to the presidency (1) as they think government can fix everything (if that isn't a hallmark of modern liberalism I don't know what is) and that liberals (in SA and the world over) could not stop praising SA's sweeping and highly restrictive gun laws passed in 2000 and 2004 and the establishment of a central firearms registry.
Jacob Zuma, who ruled until just a few weeks ago was standing at the head of a liberal democracy whose constitution proclaims that South Africa is an “open society” belonging to “all who live in it”. I would challenge anyone to deny that South Africa has an impeccably liberal constitution.
It is beyond the realm of credibility to construe liberalism in its modern form with anything having to do with the roots of the word "liberal" in the works of Hume and Jefferson. Liberal is a word whose original meaning has been crushed into the dust of time and reformed through political claymation into something representing its very antithesis.
Ramaphosa calls his rise a "new dawn" for SA. It seems this may be especially true for white South African farmers when they may soon see SAs own liberal SJW coming through the fields against the backdrop of an African dawn described by the pen of Isak Dinesen to spread their liberal love. About this time they may wonder if those gun laws were really in their best interests. I know what Jefferson would have to say about it.

I agree 100%. The left in this country bears no resemblance to the classical liberalism upon which this nation was founded, NONE. They are not liberals, and haven't been since the Civil Rights movement, which was mostly Republican in reality. It is only through the bribery of generous gifts from the treasury that the left has been able to bribe people back into slavery, and miseducate young people into believing that Marxism and socialism has some sort of twisted virtue to it.
I'm happy to reclaim the mantle of "liberalism" from the left. A modern leftist calling themselves a "liberal" is an obscenity. Thomas Jefferson was a Liberal. George Washington was a liberal. Barak Obama was a leftist totalitarian.
