Hi folks. New guy here from the DFW area in Texas.
I started out with a shotgun when I was 18, because that's all you can hunt with in New Jersey. Did some pheasant and duck hunting and extremely unsuccessful deer hunting up there. Moved to Texas about 17 years ago and started buying handguns. I've got quite an assortment of handguns, and a few AR's. Met a friend who was into long range shooting a short time ago and after some thought I figured I'd give it a try.
I have a Sig Sauer SSG3000 and a Vortex Viper 6-24x50 scope on order. I thought that would give me a good taste of the action, as well as serve as a hunting rifle if/when the need arises. II found this forum and it looks chock full of info. I know I need a bipod, but wondering what size to get?
