This makes me sick to my stomach

Re: This makes me sick to my stomach

We had a moron here shoot his infant child in the head a couple months ago because he was pissed at his girlfriend (the mother). I volunteer to administer appropriate punishment for any/all of these scumbags.

Re: This makes me sick to my stomach

How can someone even do that? What kind of positive feeling can you derive from beating and utterly defenseless infant? It makes no sense to me.

I only hope that the favor is returned in prison.

Re: This makes me sick to my stomach

This crap happens way too often and what is even worse some liberal judge will give him a slap on the wrist. I say a bullet will keep it from happening again.

Yeah. That's why people beat the ever living shit out of babies. Because liberal judges let them out.

Get a clue dude. Why purposefully make what is a very sad event in to politics?

Re: This makes me sick to my stomach

I couldn't finish reading the story. When I hear about stories like that it just makes me sick and want to hug my own son. Seriously, how can you do this to a child!? I can understand a harmless swat on the ass for misbehaving, but a total beating? The real sad part is mine and everyone else's Federal tax money will go to keeping that scum alive in jail. And seeing as it's a crime against a small child which is a definite no-no with the other inmates, he will be tucked away in the SHU secluded from the general prison population. All we can hope for is a warden with a good heart will leave the door open and let justice run it's course for as long as it takes.

Prayers sent to the poor girl.

Oh, I have way more than a clue. Evidently, this scum had hit the child before and would probably have done it again in the future. That is if the child for some reason (pissed him off) by needing some attention. That is why they are called REPEAT OFFENDERS. Just like with the case out in CA where the guy, who was a registered sex offender based on a previous charge, has now raped and killed a beautiful 17 year old girl and will possibily also be linked to the disappearance of another young girl.

Politics has nothing to do with what caused this situation. I'm just tired of reading and hearing about stuff like this, repeatedly happening and in case you don't know most criminals seldom commit just one crime and then stop. Therefore, I do have a clue.

Re: This makes me sick to my stomach

I believe he was questioning what that has to do with "liberal judges". Are you implying that no "conservative judge" would let a turd out of the bowl? How does one determine the label you apply to one of the few elected positions that doesn't list a political affiliation? The fact is, judges (regardless of political affiliation, or civil beliefs) don't often just "let the guy walk". The decision is based on a few "minor" factors like evidence, the laws of that state, merits of the case, prison population densities, prior records, etc. You see, the law doesn't say "you smacked your kid, now you die", therefor the judge can only implement the punishments that the law allows. And even that is subject to the guidelines received from the office above his.

I'm sure this particular turd will get what he deserves in the flush.

Re: This makes me sick to my stomach

In a situation like this I would love to find out what prison he is going to end up in and start writing letters to other inmates that are locked up with him so they can pass the word on about this fuck.

I truly hope he gets beaten to the edge of his life over and over while locked up for this shit...

Re: This makes me sick to my stomach

While this beating was by the hand of the boyfriend, I believe the mother shares much of the blame. I don't know if the facts about the abuse will show the mother actually abused the little girl but, I think she had to have known that something was wrong with her own child and she has some explaining to do also. I don't doubt that the Prison inmate justice system will run its course and I don't think it will take those guys long that he is locked up with to find out about the snake in the grass.

Re: This makes me sick to my stomach

Today in Minneapolis a man tried to rape an eight year old girl at a day care...thankfully his attack was thwarted. He got away, for now, but that won't last for long (details are still coming in).

I asked one of my college professors (20 year FBI agent) how to control the rage we feel when we hear about stuff like this (or see stuff like this in front of us (cops) and have to make the correct choice immediately).

He didn't really have an answer. Of all the people I know, I would expect him to be the one who would.

Since I don't know anybody personally on here, and there might be someone who has figured it out, I'll ask: how does one control the rage and stop short of beating a guy like this nearly to death when we're arresting him?

I'm not a cop yet, and this is one answer I've yet to figure out.

Re: This makes me sick to my stomach

Eleaf,
Please tell me you are not defending the judges and DAs that let these guys plea bargain. I don't understand why you would post that stuff. Can we agree that these scumballs do it themselves BUT these morons in the "justice" system empower them even more by not holding them accountable?

Re: This makes me sick to my stomach

Mrlowandslow - I'll take a stab at your question. How do we in law enforcement not beat the guys ass when we arrest him for some of the worst crimes imageinable. While initially it would give me great pleasure to stomp this turd into the ground to an inch of his life but that would only be a temporary fix. Then his lawyer would get him completely off for police brutality. Then my city would put a couple of million dollars in his pocket. Then he would go on talk shows with the bleeding hearts and talk about how bad the police are and that they are the real criminals. So you see, if you don't have the control to do the job, think about another career. P.S. don't worry about me. I'll be spending the next 3 to 5 years in a 5 x 8 cell wondering how come the good guy ended up in jail. Sorry if this is coming on a little strong but after 28 years of this shit, I wish I could convince you to do something else. As for me I still love the job, you just have to be smart enough to keep yourself above the scum. Thick skin and a good sense of humor helps also.

You have to admit, that far too-short sentences for things like this on the societal level do in-fact lead to these behaviors. If the punishment for things like this was universally known to be be death, events like this would happen a lot less. That being said, it actually is a societal problem in which judges do play a key role.

Re: This makes me sick to my stomach

Thanks for keeping it real and telling it like it is, Keithtb1. After 28 years as a cop, you've probably seen a lot of cops come and go for all sorts of reasons.

I don't know if I have that control, because I've never been tested that way. I've never been first on scene, just me and the felon, and the anger. I might naturally do what's right the first time, every time; I might not - nobody can know until their there.

I've been going to college for nearly four years, and am going through the acadamy this summer. I've learned a lot about laws and criminology and investigations, but haven't learned what its like when the situation is happening for real. I haven't heard any professor talk about the struggle to stop, think, and respect his civil rights versus losing control.

Hopefully some of the Hide members can share some wisdom or insights. If nothing else, maybee four years in the Corp will better prepare me for a life in law enforcement.

Re: This makes me sick to my stomach

When I went through the police academy there was a recent case with a Sailor at Bangor that shook a 2 month old baby to death.

Required viewing of the autopsy photographs - full size 8x10's - and let me tell you - not a dry eye in the house and 3 people quit that day.

My pet peevewas failure to use Child Restraints - and I probably wrote in excess of 200 of those citations.

People that hurt kids - well it should be an instant death penalty but our society is too soft for that.

Re: This makes me sick to my stomach

If there is a hell, I cant help but beleive there is a section just for people that hurt children like that , that their torment is greater than rest of the occupents.
