I was at a gun show this past weekend when I ran across this stock:
VARMINTFOLDER.jpg

It is made by Choate (obviously)which is known for making reasonably priced medium grade rifle stocks. I know it is not on their site, and I have yet to see it for sale elsewhere, but I do think it is another cheap alternative for an accurate rifle stock, and I thought I would share.

As far as features it is very similar to the stock that MAX100 did in his write-up for us last week on the Choate Tactical Rifle Stock(see link). If anyone has questions about this stock feel free to PM me, or you can give me a call during business hours by calling the number on my website.

Re: This may be old news but....

I have the utmost respect for people who chose this stock, I used to have the ultimate varmint stock for my savage 112 in 22-250. But for me this stock is just one of the ugliest stocks I have seen. Just looks like the joint area for the folding mechanism would flex or break there. I am sure it is more durable than that.

The new tactical stock from choate is a pretty cool looking stock though.
