It’s right here in this report that large caliber rounds kill better than small caliber rounds . . .

Except for the fact that the report is all common sense held together with bullshit. It classifies small caliber as .22LR through .32 ACP, medium caliber as .380 through 9mm including .38 special and large caliber is .40 up including 7.62x39. They site evidence that the medium and large calibers are more likely to kill than the small calibers.

Then they claim that if everybody had small caliber rounds that 40% less people would have died. It also provided such wisdom that regardless of caliber if people are shot in the arm or leg they are less likely to die than if shot in the upper chest or head. Those are some genius level scientific deductions right there.

The fact that people even site these kinds of reports is the exact reason that gun owners don’t trust the CDC to provide a fair and impartial report on gun violence. The CDC would simply provide a similar bullshit report that would be touted as fact by those too stupid to understand the report itself.

EDIT: And most (80% +) of the victims were involved in gangs or drugs so if you extrapolate that out to just about every major city it shows that we really don’t have much of a gun problem so much as a gang problem. That explains why many states with few large cities have a lower homicide rate than those that do.

Ice pick in the ear is pretty darn effective too even though it's much smaller than a .22LR.

Statistics: Lies, Damn Lies, and Statistics

Well damn.

I think most if the guys who use birdshot for HD are just ill informed. We can inform them nicely.

I have witnessed several instances in the past 8 months or so where birdshot at point blank range didnt do the job. Not even close really. Fuck some stuff up, nobody dead. Less than 5’ each time, right at vitals, including a neck.......

I just use a flamethrower.........

But, is it an "assault" flamethrower?

Thats funny, the wife and I were watching his bit about how he could hold the toughest nastiest guy out of his house with a BB gun. My wife turned to me and said "thats kind of true, huh?" I said, "if i showed up to kill someone, and they started shooting me with a BB gun. They would have it rapped around their about 2 seconds after they realized what a bad idea it was." Fuck that get a halberd and hide beside the door.

I guess anything under 22lr is safe then?
Okay, not a problem. I have 17 and 20 caliber stuff.

The projectiles may be small and lightweight, but I sure wouldn't want to be shot by one of them.
