Thoughts of the new Ruger Mark 4 10" Target pistol?

I have never had one, and saw they are making a 10" target version now. What are your thoughts? Looks cool to me.

I can't speak to the MK-IV, but I have several of the MK-II 10" guns, and they are a lot of fun to shoot - almost rifle accuracy & power, but unsupported shooting is a bit tricky.

I'd say get it - it will be fun, and who knows, it might be the next hot collectible when they discontinue it.

Add a set of Burris adjustable rings and an AO EER scope,
you could use it at 200 yards and stay on paper
with decent ammunition.

I'd bet the the Mark IV would be more accurate than a stock 10/22...no matter what the barrel length is. If someone does get a Mark IV I'd highly recommend the Volquartsen grips. This is an absolute killer setup. If you don't believe me I'll tell you again, this is an absolute killer setup.

Tacsol make 10" barrels, msy be social order but a aussie store here runs them.

Also I run the houge target grips on my mk3 love them.

I have a MK II 10" gun that is one of my favorites. I bought a MK IV 6"as soon as they hit the gun show tables. It was the single worst trigger I have ever experienced on a gun. I immediately put a Volquartzen trigger in it. I ended up up sending the whole thing to them and having it converted to their custom Olympia model. The MK IV was such a good idea, but that trigger just really put me off.
