Welcome to the Hide.
Spend some time reading and you will find answers to most of your questions. The SPS Tac is a very very common rifle talked about on here by 100's of people.
There are lots of comments on the stock and lots of pics of groups fired with them.

The stock doesnt SUCK, but it isnt the greatest. The generally are great shooters. My friend has one thats a hammer. Itll shoot less than .5 moa with dang near any load. For the price, the only thing better would be a savage..

Search results, click here.

But to answer your question, with the factory stock it will shoot good to great depending on the load and your consistency and form at 100 yards. For me, 200+ the groups started stringing because of the inherent weakness and flexibility in the forearm design. After switching to a better stock the stringing groups disappeared.

SPS= Special Purpose Stock= factory to consumer to trash... Or just about.

I had a SPS Tac in 223 and it shot sub moa easy with Black Hills Blue box(not even match ammo)best group was under 1/2 inch 3 shots. The riffle was all factory. I really regret selling it. IMO when you buy any factory rem it's hit or miss with the accuracy. This goes from their top of the line XCR Tad's to there SPS Tac's. Total hit or miss. The Houge stock feels nice to me. I just didn't like how it didn't free float the barrel when using a bipod. If you want it to be really accurate you should plan on having the action Bluprinted by a good smith, putting on a match barrel, and getting a stock that free floats the barrel. To do all that would cost another $1000 and could easily go over $2000+++ depending how crazy you wanna get.
