thoughts on a savage mk2 set up i found?

looking at a guy who wants to sell a savage mk2 heavy barrel 22lr rifle with a new boyds tactical stock with a tasco mildot scope to me for 250.00 thoughts as a trainer up too 100yrds?

call him right now, get in the truck to pick it up (F the championship games on the telly), get it before he changes his mind.

good for a trainer @ 100Y should shoot 1.5" or less. as a side note the stock and BM alone is almost worth that much.

unless it's beat up and rusted, you're looking at a used rifle, stock, scope that is still probably worth 350.00 - 400.00 sight unseen. if there are any extra mags with it, it's a sweeter deal yet.
