Just bought a new "to me" rifle chambered in 6.5X47 lapua. The barrel is threaded 5/8X24, with the barrel OD at the muzzle of 1.00." The issue is the thread length is only .500" long......that's .500 from the muzzle to the shoulder. Is that going to be an issue running a suppressor......I am hoping the large amount of shoulder contact area will compensate for the short threads. Anyways, thanks for your time and input.
