Sounds like youre good in your county. My local sheriff just told me, in person, he would not enforce red flag laws.

@Blacksmith of Isaiah - good points. The confiscation element is certainly a big part of these laws. They (liberals) really don't want to stem firearm deaths/crime/violence - they (Democrats) are saying 'no' to using this law on known gang members.

Just remember, the sheriff cannot stop enforcement of these laws and "sanctuary status" ( whatever that means) is a media term and carries no legal weight whatsoever.

If you read the law, Colorado is one of the worst.

The initial order is ex parte with no notification and the threshold is simple preponderance. ( indicting the ham sandwich and the ham sandwich doesn't even know the hearing is happening)

It then talks about the respondent and how the petitioner has to provide 'clear and convincing" evidence but doesn't define exactly what that is. ( after the guns are taken)

But the sheriff is usually the one ordered to make the confiscation. If he refuses that means someone else has to step up.

Eventually those who wish to keep freedom alive for future generations will have to apply the same rules we used is trying and dealing with the National Socialists. "Just following orders" or "Just doing my duty" or "Just carrying out the law" will be meaningless as you are convicted of the crime just the same as those that gave the orders, wrote the evil laws, supported those that wrote the laws, provided legal protection for others or benefited from it.
