I have been watching this stuff closely. Especially this case.

Glad to see they are going after her. Personally feel that the charge may be a bit light when you look at what she was doing.

@Fig - its been over 2 years.
Following this closely (since it happened, including the body cam footage), she had made a constant and bitter war against the police for doing their job.
Dunno anything about this but it is telling about what can be done to people without a badge.
I'll wager the "justice" system will'nt be as accomodating.

In my opinion, that law should not have been put in place for her to abuse. Just my thoughts.
It went right this time as it was a LEO in the right, What happens when it is Joe Shovelhandler, not a LEO but just a guy, normal everyday working man divorcing his Hag and she wants to hurt him where it counts???

It is a poorly written law with way too many holes in it to even be considered Law. IMHO

Not sure Mike.

I hate the idea of no due process and absolutely piss poor protections for someones firearms and a terribly defined process of getting them back.

I understand and appreciate wanting to help folks who might be suicidal. And while something can be done, Im pretty sure this isnt it.

would have been better news if co decided to stop with all the nonsense and stopped the practice of red flags an unlawful practice as it is denying a person due process no they could not do that .

The prosecutor is a dick. I wouldn’t pursue charges against a mother who lost her son, all the rest of that shit be damned. I would assume temporary insanity, period.

Fuck her, jail time. She abused the system, she did it knowingly, and it highlights what a shit show those laws are to begin with.

Win Win all around.

I think we can all agree this is some pretty fucked up law.
I agree with taking things away from someone suicidal but the way this is written it leaves a boatload of room for someone to abuse it and abuse it they will.
If someone is really intent on killing themselves they will find a way short of a straightjacket, restraints and a rubber room.

So, how long does this exemption from the standards that apply to the rest of us last?
