Thumbler Tumbler Model B

Re: Thumbler Tumbler Model B

Yeh comes in two speeds

Not sure who has the best price...

I myself am still trying to work out if i can purchase it in a 240V option so i can use it in my country without the need for a step-down convertor.

You want the fast one for brass polishing

Re: Thumbler Tumbler Model B

Curious why the thumbler tumbler? I have one and they are the biggest pain, the eight screws to get the lid off is not the most convenient. Just my thoughts anyways

Re: Thumbler Tumbler Model B

What is the advantage of having different speeds on a tumbler?

I admit I know nothing about a "Thumbler Tumbler" I bought a Dillon years ago and have used it extensively, no telling how many hours on the thing. You dump in your brass and media, turn it on and an hour or so later, the brass is shiny. Nothing could be easier could it?

Re: Thumbler Tumbler Model B

People using the Thumler's tumbler primary concern isn't shiny - any vibratory tumbler can do that, or it can be done by hand with never-dull like products. Many of the Thumler's users use ceramic or stainless steel media to thoroughly clean the inside of the cases and the primer pockets.

longshot2007 - the removal of the eight screw can't be any more PITA that changing out the different waters and setting the timer than with the untrasonic system. Would perfer to set the timer and come back 4 hour later. Different strokes, I guess. Plus with the Model "B", you are comparing 100-150 308 cases to 20 cases with my sonic cleaner.

I currently only own the sonic cleaner, but heading down the road called Thumbler.

Lock stock and barrel has them for about what you are going to find them for. SS media is what they are used for and they most definatly clean the inside and primers of the cases much better than the vibratory tumblers. They are also over built and will last a long time. Check out some of the threads here on the hide about ss media and tumblers.
