Havent posted for a while but i was thinking about stuff again. Im planning on "building" a Tikka t3 super varmint in .223 for an all-around gun for targets, random long range shooting, plinking, and hunting coyotes and maybe even prairie dogs.
As far as optics go im thinking i want to go with the bushnell elite 4200 6-24x50 tactical as of now. BUT! im not sure what to use as far as a base goes.i was going to go with the egw 20 moa base but some guys said they ran out of adjustment with the +-44 moa adjustment on the bushnell scope. i want to be able to keep a 100 yard zero but want to have enough adjustment to go to 1000 yards if i get the urge. i cant really find a 15 moa base for the tikka so im not sure where to go from there, and im not even sure if a 15 moa base will give me enough room to get out to the 1000 mark.
im not sure if ill have to go custom or what but i havent found anything that is made for the gun other than the egw's. i would like to stay reasonably priced but i do want to do it right.
any input is appreciated, thanks
