Rifle Scopes Tikka CTR and ZP5 5-25x56 Rings

I put a ZP5 on my Tikka T3X Varmint with a Talley 20 MOA scope base. Using the Seekins Low (.92") rings, the rubber ring on the screw on cap just barely touches the barrel. Without the cap it has plenty of clearance. Using the Seekins High (1.0") it works just fine. See attached pictures.

So. It might work on your CTR because I think the barrel is smaller in diameter. If you use a different cap it will probably work. If you use a sunshade it might work because I think your barrel has some taper. You can also sand or file down the scope cap ring and make it work. Conclusion is try it before you buy new rings.

Thanks for the reply. The ARC lows are 0.95 so just a hair taller than the seekins. Hopefully they’ll work for me. The seekins 1.0s will be fine but if I raise my comb anymore I’ll have to modify it so the bolt won’t hit it. Manners T6A is on the too notch and any higher I can’t run the bolt.

I got off my lazy ass and measured my ZP5 and my DMR Pro.
ZP5 - 2.660”
DMR 2 Pro with BC 44 - 2.627”

I have about .040-.050” of clearance with the DMR with butler creek cap. The ZP5 needs about .017-.020 more room so I’ll have enough plus the longer bell will give me more from the taper of the barrel. Using the ARC lows.
