Tikka experts. A1 chasis question.

On the T3X Tac A1 -the scope base has a front screw which attaches through a hole in the handguard nut. I lost that screw. I went on the tikka website and they have very detailed schematics but that small screw is not listed.

can anyone help me out and tell me the size? Thank you

Any experts
Unknown. But I know my EGW scope ase had new screws that fit perfectly. Maybe contact EGW to check screw size? 8-40?

Edit. 6-48

I have never used that exact chassis, but on every other tikka I have ever owned they drop right into a chassis and feed fine, doesn’t matter if it’s a .223 or a 6.5 PRC, every tikka action is the same footprint. I’m not 100% sure on the A1 chassis and the attachment on the base to hand guard, that’s probably going to be the only difference, you may need to use a base from or for a A1 if that connection is needed.

On the standard rifle, It's a leaf spring, not a coil, maybe that is causing confusion.

First step is locate it. Pull your action. Invert it, so the pic rail is facing down, trigger up.

inspect the front of the trigger assembly. Its the small clip of stainless steel that tensions the magwell. Its bolted on with a single allen type hex.

Removal is obvious.

The trigger upgrade spring is a tiny coil spring, totally different part and different operation.

Search youtube for DIY vids on how to do that. Its more involved.

Dont mess with your trigger (mechanism) tho if you cant figure out the leaf spring.

Walk before run and all that.

Good luck.
