Gunsmithing Tikka/ RPR barrel compatibility

I recently ordered a RPR prefit barrel and I just got rid of my RPR. Is there anyway I can install the RPR barrel on my Tikka action? I know the threads are the same but the RPR barrel has a shoulder. Can a gunsmith trim that shoulder off and make a barrel nut or would it be a better idea to try and sell the barrel?

It would be better to cancel it if you can without penalty.

I would forgo cutting up a perfectly good prefit to make it fit a tikka though, youll just end up paying for the labor twice to get to the same spot.

I was able to get ahold of the smith before he started on it and he Chambered it for a Tikka.
