I’m at .308. That’s what I was wondering if the bolt required was different. The Tikka actions are all long action. But I wasn’t sure if the bolt was different between SA and LA and it sounds like it is and would need to be swapped out as well.
Are you saying if you buy a used barrel it’s kind of plug and play as long as you have the correct bolt? No need for go, no go gauges to head space it? No need to head space it?
I probably should have stated a generic non magnum caliber instead of win 300 mag. I’m not set on a specific caliber yet. I’m working out the need to know details in my mind.
