Tikka T3 barrel cut and thread, or.....

I have a Tikka T3 lite in .223 that I bought for just a walking around rifle, I'm now wanting a 16.25" barrel, threaded 1/2X28 for use with my can. Should I send it out and have it cut and threaded, or just go buy another rifle that is already 16" and threaded? Not sure which way I'd be money ahead.

You would only pay like $100 to have the barrel cut and threaded. Near any decent gun smiths?

Unfortunately none that I'm aware of, but it wouldn't bother me to send it out to SAC, or PCR, etc.

Morgan Richey from Class 3 Machining could spin that up. He’s done good work for me. ADCO also turns stuff around fairly quickly and correctly.
