I do alot of hiking/hunting and would be interested to pack my rifle.

Thanks

Re: TIKKA T3 Folding stock - ANYONE??

My T3 currently sports a Manners stock. Man, why did I had to find out about the Whiskey-3?

Now I have Manners T3 stock for sale!

Obiously not a Tikka or a folder but the folding mechanism can be added when they release it for sale. If you are going to spend good money you might as well get the best. (IMO)

Re: TIKKA T3 Folding stock - ANYONE??

Id appreciate if you guys know of a nice right handed stock for T3 for sale....seems Im not senior enough yet to post an ad in the WTB section.

Re: TIKKA T3 Folding stock - ANYONE??

I just fitted my friend's Tikka T3 in .338 WM into a Bell & Carlson hunter style stock. His factory plastc stock couldn't handle the recoil and shot like crap. The B&C has an aluminum bedding block and it now shoots properly. He will be getting the KRG stock as soon as they make a magnum version but this will do for now. If you need to upgrade with a budget, the B&C is pretty good. It is very similar to the factory stock but way stiffer.

Re: TIKKA T3 Folding stock - ANYONE??

They only offer the hunter style right now. Add a Karsten or XLR cheekpiece and shoot. I imagine they would offer the different styles n the future. Someone here on the Hide is an employee of B&C, I'll try to track him down if you have any questions.

Re: TIKKA T3 Folding stock - ANYONE??

We have a new stock called the B.A.F. that is a folder for the T3. It looks just like the MFS-14 stock shown on our website.

Re: TIKKA T3 Folding stock - ANYONE??

I emailed McMillan on this as it's on my wish list. Here are excerpts from the prompt reply:

-design and testing on the BAF folding stock is done.
-looks like the MFS-14 except the pistol grip is a bit more rounded on the rear and bottom like a Pachmyer rubber pistol grip.
-two versions are available, one with recess on the forearm for the 4” tri-rail and another with a convention forearm look.
-the stock will take most aftermarket M16/M4 type butt stocks.
-there will be a version of the Mag-Pul PRS-2 buttstock with an adapter to fit the folding mechanism.
-available options are the same as the MFS-14.
-these are available now and we can inlet them for the Tikka T3 rifles.
-photos and descriptions will be on the web-site when it is upgraded in the next month or so.

Must...sell...more...crap to get $ for T3 in 7-08 and this stock.

There aren't any more available than what was mentioned in this thread. You're going to have to pick from what's available or pay someone to make you a custom one. If you want a folder it isn't going to be cheap.

Re: TIKKA T3 Folding stock - ANYONE??

Key is get out shoot; folding stock or not.

Everything else means little if you don't shoot.

heat here is going to finally be under 100 next week. Got to make some loads and get our there myself too. I used to shoot in all weather but blood pressure will not let me stay in the heat too long these days. It's a bitch getting old LOL

p.s. this is my 100th post!

Re: TIKKA T3 Folding stock - ANYONE??

Totally agree 86....being outdoors shooting is nr1. I shoot quite alot, every week. I also hike quite alot, most every day. I thought putting my Tikka into a folding stock would make it possible to take it more often with me. As I see it many of these stocks are great..no doubt......but there is a hole in the market that can be filled with a near 250- 300$ stock for this rifle. It does not have to be fancy, just work. Im pretty sure it will be there as time passes and demand rises. It can be done and tere will be tons of buyers.

So until then I just put my Ruger 1022 (dressed in 70$ folding stock) into my backpack. Sure it wont bring me any big meals, but it provedes a chance to travel with it and occasionally a nice small meal on my plate.....that is good both for my wallett and the bloodpressure...
