Gunsmithing tikka t3 lite for long range ?

How accurate are the t3 lite 223 REM at long range with the thin barrel ? I just dont have the money for the badminton model . So I will have to build as I go. Can get a heavy barrel cut for it later

They are excellent shooters you will just have heat issues for long round counts and more recoil which is not much of a deal in 223. Just was at the range and my shooting partner had his there today and it is a sub MOA rifle all day

Limit yourself to 3 shot groups with cooling periods in between and they are very accurate. Skinny barrels cool quite a bit quicker than heavy barrels. Everything is a compromise.

I love mine... It loves 69gr and up. Still haven't gotten it to shoot 55gr well, but 1/2 moa isn't too hard with handloads.
