Hi guys,
Looking to pick up one of the new Tikka T3x rifles in 6.5 CM. I like the ACE Game because it comes with the single stage trigger (which i prefer) and fluted barrel (which, I admit, I'm a sucker for). But the game has a 20" barrel that's a little bit thinner. If i go with the game over the target, am i giving up anything? Is the Target going to be more accurate? Is there any difference that I'm not taking into account?

Thanks in advance!

For what purpose, hunting, competition, plinking? The other difference is the magazine well, the Target uses the CTR magazines vs factory plastic in the Game. The CTR mags are great, but you're limited to short action cartridges. The chassis is so heavy you're not going to really notice the difference from fluting.

Thanks Eric, I didn't know about the magazine difference. Would be for target shooting and competition. I know the fluting isn't really going Impact the weight, I just like the look.
You would want the target model for target shooting and competition.
Weight is a benefit for those endeavors. It's probably still a bit on the light side, but you can make it work.

Buy the Target and if you really want a single stage trigger, i'll send you one and a little extra money in exchange for your 2 stage trigger!

Target may not be more accurate but odds are it will be easier to shoot accurately with the extra weight.
