They mount the same as any other rail using two Allen head bolts and two pins to locate it. The pins do not act in any gripping power, only lateral forces. IIRC, there's also a 'glue' of some type that makes removing it difficult. I just used a rubber mallet and hit it from the side to break it free and then from the bottom to actually separate it. It took several very hard blows. But it is a rubber mallet and absorbs most of that blow. You could try a plastic mallet but I recommend the rubber and hit it good.
