Hello,

Fairly newb question here, I have a Tikka t3X Tac 1 on order and want to mount Steiner t5Xi 5-25 scope on it.
Previously scope was mounted on Remington 700 with Seekings low rings, the issue that I'm facing is that tikka only has 0 MOA rail and I want to step up to an at least 20 MOA rail elevation.

Wanted to see what people though about the following choices in 34mm:

SPUHR 4602 (Obviously will work but more than 2x the price of the next mount)
Seekings MXM 20MOA 1.45in height mount
Badger 1 Piece 20MOA Unimount (Ultra-high 1.5in)

Any others?

Will you use a clip on night vision device? If not, you can use rings and mount the scope lower, and switch the rail out for a declinated rail.
Do not expect to use night vision, using the rings is an option but with the scope bell diameter (and having barrel contour being covered by horizontal rail) I would have to go a a higher ring set anyway (hence mount may make more sense)

I used the Badger Unimount, seemed the "best bang for the buck" and easier than changing the rail IMO.

Whatever you do, don't fall for the old trope of mounting the scope as low as humanly possible. A relaxed eye and neck position behind the scope are paramount and that means usually going higher than the lowest.

Either the Seekins or the Badger would be fine. Spuhr is an unnecessary expense that does nothing better than the other two from a functional POV.
