Pretty simple question. Is there a difference in bolt lift between the two?

I recently played with my brother in laws barely used Tikka t3 lite. Bolt lift felt heavy as hell and I don’t remember other Tikkas like the Ctr being that heavy of lift. Maybe I’m wrong but was thinking of picking up a couple of the lite versions and rebarreling them since I can’t find bare actions.

I have a T3x Lite 7mm RemMag. It has heavier-ish lift than my RPR and Remington. However... 70 degree rotation/throw and action glides like it's on ball bearings.

Always remember, when initially cocking it, the bolt lift will be heavier. Also, don't forget to put a tiny dab of grease on the back side of the bolt lugs to smooth out the interaction between the bolt and action lug recesses.

I LOVE MINE. And I will definitely get another one when the time comes to do so. Maybe like a 223 or something.

They are one in the same.

Put a couple thousands rounds through that action and it will feel the same.

Only difference I’ve really noticed is magnum vs. non-mag... the mags seem to have a noticeably heavier lift than standard cases.

Are you asking about ctr vs lite or t3 lite vs T3x lite

Ctr/lite is a classification of the t3x

Isn’t the ctr bolt pvd Coated? Could that reduce lift weight slightly?
Yes sorry it was late when I posted this ctr vs lite. I’m not sure but I remember the ctr being a lot smoother than the lite I messed with.

I much prefer the trigger on the tikka. Looking at several of each with a borescope the brownings have a much higher incidence of off center chambers and much rougher bores than tikkas. On the other hand I like the tang safety and the 60 degree bolt throw on the browning. If I had to choose I'd pick a Tikka because of higher tolerance machining. Don't much care for the looks of the X-bolt, very homely rifles.
