    ...with my Doctors.

If I’m lucky I’ll land on severe ulcers or a blocked biliary duct.

If I hit the jackpot it’ll be pancreatic cancer.

Anyone have any experience with this sort of stuff I should keep in mind?

What's up? I had a gall stone blocked in my pancreatic duct and turn into gangrene, turned real bad , several doctors thought it might be pancreatic cancer but.... if you want pm me and we an discuss.

Shit my friends dad just had his gall bladder removed. Gangrene like you wouldn't believe. Doctors kept saying it was this, it was that, then he changed hospitals entirely and they found it. He was on the way out of this world, but a few days after the surgery he's back at it.

My mother had her GB out when she was younger. She also had surgery on her pyloric valve recently. I have what I call a "gut crisis" where I get VERY sick and have extreme vomiting of this foul smelling (like rotten eggs) vomit to the point of total dehydration. I still don't know what causes, each time I've been too sick to even make it to the doctor (should have went to ER).

Believe it or not, simple gas or bad acid reflux can cause similar symptoms.

There's also diverticulitis (infected pocket of feces in the intestine; think of a poo pimple in your guts) immobile bowels (do you feel 'em move?) upper or lower bowel blockage (upper is an urgent medical emergency). Then again could also be IBS or Chron's.

I'd say go see a GI specialist as soon as you can. The guts are so complicated if you go to ER they don't want you on any pain killers because it makes diagnosis that much harder (which SUCKS when your guts are in REAL pain --it's some of the worst).

I've heard our diet and shit they put in foods to make 'em look better or last longer are having serious impacts on our health, especially the gut, and unless you grow and hunt all your own you really have no idea what you are eating anymore. Sad.

Man I hope it turns out to be something simple and stupid like gas... FWIW, pancreatic cancer is I believe one of the more rare forms and cancer is generally the last place you look. But I'm no doctor, so that's why I say see the GI!

If it's gut pain and it's so bad it cripples you and/or vomit is involved, it would behoove you to go to the ER. They'll probably see you right away.

Ct scan should show what's inflamed, although one problem could make other parts look inflamed too. My wife had her gal bladder removed last week. She was advised to eat plain broth while waiting to get cut because of severe cramping.

YOure too gaddamned ornery to have cancer, boy, so it must be something less severe.

I had a lot trouble with an ulcer after burning my stomach with Aleve (nasty stuff). Tried everything and most of it made me constipated as hell because when it blocks the stomach acid it also it the natural stomach bacteria which aid in digestion. Ever had an impacted turd. Its like trying to shit out a grapfruit. No fun. Finally a freind turned me onto kefir a fermented milk product. Like youghert it has the bacteria bith better and more species. About three days and the ulcer cleared right up. Available in the dairy section of WalMart or any decent grocery.

    Good luck.

What you said right there, sounds like what My Lady went through, some years ago. The puking and the 'smelling'. Turned out, it was the 'main' nerve in her stomach wasn't triggering things to work. So the doc put her on Dom Peridone (we call them the "champagne pills") and that took right-good care of her.

I have had my gall bladder area worked on already as it had ruptured. I was definitely going to die while the doctors were fucking around trying to find it - I lost consciousness for a few days sort of bad.

This is a similar sort of pain and suffering level, but on the other side. Nasty fever and on the edge of puking every time I eat. Also maybe blood clots in the leg below the area in question.

My cancer concern is because every member of my family who has died in my lifetime died of cancer, and it would have started right about now for most of them. And I have other bizarro land shit going on.

We shall see. I’ll be at the specialist in an hour.

The doctor told my wife her gall bladder could cause pancreatitis. When they removed her gall bladder, they also checked her bile duct for stones.

ABSOLUTELY, REPEAT, ABSOLUTELY make them rule out "carcinoid syndrome" or a carcinoid tumor.... a word to the wise.

Well, they are taking the cancer first route it looks like. CT with contrast next.

After that it’s robotic camera up my ass, then down my throat. Sure hope they fucking clean that thing.

I’m getting a camera down my throat next week. I feel your pain. Hope it goes well for you

Well that didn’t go well. I wasn’t able to finish the MRI.

The position I was in hurt so much my body had a massive spasm trying to get me to not lay like that, and I smashed my face into the machine. Almost broke my damn jaw. Talk about strange involuntary movement shit.

This is one of the most concerning symptoms for me, the massive stabbing pain spikes and ridiculous white hot headaches that last for 5 seconds.

Normally I would rub dirt in it and walk it off, but this is year 5 of it and I’m none too pleased. Add that on top of the damn pancreas acting stupid...

Kept telling me I was constipated (wife agreed I was full of something). Finally did an MRI or CAT scan or something and did emergency surgery to remove it.

    Good luck, King.

My friend's dad is back in the ER with kidney failure and sepsis. This is about a year after he had his gall bladder out. Getting old sucks, apparently.

It does but for the most part is better than the alternative.

To a point. Had a brother-in-law confined to a wheelchair, taking handfuls of drugs several times daily, dialysis three times each week. No quality of life lots of pain and depended on his mom for everything. Final said goodbye to everyone and stopped dialysis. Passed away peacefully three days later.

QND, hope your friend's dad fights his way back.

Yep. My dad had an aortic rupture and the doctor told hin "I can operate and give you about a 30% chance." The old man looked at him and said..:Im 85, time to go, put the scalple away." (paraphrased). He was in a lot of pain so I told the nurse to give him the second shot of moophine, held one hand and mom the other, and he went softly into that the good night.

Shit tell them to shoot you full of ativan morphine and robaxin and give it another shot in the tube.

Keys to hospital survival: be nice, dont get labeled an asshole, sit absolutely still, take the pain meds if you hurt, cough and deep breath 10×hr, dont ask for anything frivolous like food or water.

King, did they give you a small sedative to relax you before you went in the MRI? And then a shot that gives you a warm feeling all over for a bit? I have had at least 10 MRIs Never got a spasm, that sucks. The pancreas is an angry little fucker that’s for sure.

Yeah. In this case its part of my issues. Got wicked strange nervous system shit going on too.

Like random ridiculously bad pain pretty much anywhere. I have suffered major injury before, and this pain is like that. And it can come from anywhere.

Well you being a 'Showercookie Monster" could it be demons? I do exorcisms very reasonably. Ask PrincessPickleBunny.

Carcinoid syndrome..... one shot a month. CT scan finds tumor, shot deals with it.

Symptoms will convince you, that you are sick unto death and going insane, and 98 of 100 doctors will tell you it is medically impossible to have all those symptoms at the same time, and blow you off.
Until u get the right doc...

they are rescheduling everything for next week. so nothing new yet. been a pretty fucked up couple of weeks.

they are going to use an Open MRI that lets me lay on my side for the brain scan shit.

the one set of meds is helping a lot with some of the issues, which is promising.
