Timed muzzle device on AX308

I have 7.62 Warcomp that I would like to install on a barrel for my AX308. Since the barrels are screwed in, will the timing of the ports change every time I change barrels? Is there a way around this?

Are you taking the same barrel off the same action and putting it back on? Once a barrel/brake is timed it should stay timed on the same action no matter how many times you take if off and put it back on.

My short action AI's are not timed the same between rifles. So the timing on one brake will not match the timing on my other rifle.

It should be the same. I've never adjusted a brake when taking it off or putting it on one of my rifles. All my AI barrels have brakes and only time I have to mess with them is going from my ax308 to my atx.
