Using a mold that Brenda and I purchased when we were in our 20’s (we are now both in our 70’s) using equipment that has not been hardly touched in almost ten years, below is the first product of production

Never did I believe times in our nation could be this bad and I consider myself an optimist. So people are stocking up on everything. Can’t find bullets, brass or primers for any type of self defense loads. So, with the last of our practice .357 bullets loaded (and despite having a box of 500 9mm bullets squirreled away) I dug out the equipment and started molding bullets this morning.

Not the best I have ever done, but plenty good enough for practice.

Bullet pictured is from a Lyman mold, Keith style, weighing with my lead, 169 grains

Ya I blew the pooch on primers a month or two ago. My well pump went out, had our first kid, wifes transmission went out, my AC in my car went out LOL, so I decided to hold all purchasing for a month or two and it really screwed me over.

Just hoping to find some primers by luck in the next month or so.

Brazos Precision is where I get all my lead bullets for my .38's. I usually get the Hi-Tek coated 125's

Bullets look good. Where do you get your lead?

This lead is range lead that I have squirred away years ago (before we lost the lease on the range I was the caretaker of).

I found primers at the LGS. They had 4000, I purchased 2000 to the consternation of my wife, Brenda. I was trying leave some for the next fellow. She said, you may well be the “Next” fellow. Paid more than cost online, but even in these times, they need the business.

Interesting note, while we no longer live or work near this shop, we traded with them for many years. Brenda noted she had never seen it so low on stocks of all items, especially firearms.
