Gunsmithing Timing a barrel - how much does it matter?

Some more experience with clocking barrels.

I have 2 new barrels for my Surgeon action custom. I went traditional switch barrel type setup with a benchrest style barrel vice. The windage zero for the .30 cal barrel that is clocked at 11:30 is 4/10ths of a mil to the left of the 6.5mm that is clocked at 12 o clock. The new 6.5mm barrel is 1/10th mil different than my old barrel. If nothing else, I think it helps keep the windage zero consistent from barrel to barrel.

Lilja, Bartlein, and Kreiger barrels by the way. 3 4 and 5 groove I think.
