Timney 517 adjustment (rem 700)

I just installed a new 517 trigger in my rem 700 and I am not impressed so far. This may seem to be a stupid question but the instructions say to loosen the front screw to lower trigger pull. There are 2 front screws, the top one has no nut the bottom one has a nut, which one do I loosen?

loosen the front bottom nut, it will unlock the weight screw for adjustment.

also look at sear engagement in the round hole/window on the left or right side of trigger housing. they may have put a bit to much engagement.
