Timney sent me a longer sear. Has anyone ever changed sears on their trigger. It is a timney 510. I think it is just a pin holding it in, but I don't want to beat the shit out of it and break it if that isn't supposed to come out.

just replaced one on mine. the small hinge pin pops right now, no real trick. It came out EASY on mine too.

what was wrong with the other sear? just wondering because i'm looking into getting a 510 myself and just wanted to know what to look for. if any problems arose.

in my case, I am running a Defiance action, and it requires a longer sear, or a model 510-U. If you are running any other 700 clone or a 700, then the 510 with standard sear is what you are after. These are awesome triggers IMHO

Mine was not firing all of my reloads and come old rounds. I emailed timney with the problem and they sent me the new piece. I love the trigger and did not want to change.
