Gunsmithing Timney won't reset with Badger Bottom Installed...

Just finished installing the Timney trigger I ordered into my Remington 700 5-R, and am now having an odd issue of the trigger failing to reset when the bolt is cycled. Problem only occurs with the Badger DBM bottom metal installed on the rifle (don't know it this is also the story with the factory bottom, haven't tried it yet), with the bottom metal removed the trigger assembly functions 100%.

Does anyone have any thoughts on where to start troubleshooting this?

Had a similar situation with an X-Mark Pro trigger.

Inspection revealed the trigger was bearing against the Badger Metal (M4 alloy). A little careful filing on the bottom metal to widen the trigger inlet enough to let the trigger mechanism 'float', and all is well.

Trigger came straight from Timney set at 2 lbs.

I'll check this out when I get home from work. What portion of the bottom metal was it bearing against?

I had to open up the stock inlet just a tad too. </div></div>

This did the trick for me as well. Thank you, MontanaMarine.
