I'm new to longer range shooting and was hoping for some pointers on figuring out windage. I understand that you can prep a dope estimate based on distance and wind speed, then hold or dial for it like you would with range, but how do you determine the wind speed on the path to a target? Is it something you just get a feel for over time or are there certain things to look for that can give you a rough idea of how fast it's blowing.

Sorry I posted this in the wrong forum section, I'll put it up in the right one.
