In search of some info. I did the search here and couldnt find my answer.
I have a bull barrel 10/22 i need to change from the magpul hunter stock.
The magpul is to flimsy when shooting off the bipod. The groups change considerable when loading the atlas bipod.
Is the victor titan fore end stiff enough it doesnt flex?.
This isnt an I hate the magpul hunter stock and i dont need the obligatory fans telling my their stock is perfect.
I just want to know if the titan flexes with a bipod as bad as the magpul.
I would like a McRees chassis but cant find one.
Thanks in advance.

I have a titan and overall it's very good. No perceivable flex to me and it's pretty comfortable. However, my rifle doesn't sit exactly straight in it and so the barrel doesn't look perfect centered in it. I have spent hours playing with it and I can't do anything about it. It is still very accurate and zero's just fine so its only cosmetic.

That being said, I'd get a KRG Bravo 10/22 stock now. These weren't around when I got the titan but i love the KRG stuff and the 10/22 bravo is only $250

The Titan is plenty stiff for loading. I have had one on a PWS Summit for a few years now and love it. I have use both a Harris on the front stud and an Atlas V8 on a pic rail, both work well.

Like @hwy1strat mentions, I would also take a look at the KRG Bravo as it fits your needs and is in the same price range.

I have a Titan for my Kidd Supergrade. With the Kidd actions you can use a rear anchor that gives you 2 action screws. Titan has their on rear anchor for the Kidd. The Titan is a very made stock, and will not flex. It has a Al bedding block. It work great with a regular 10-22 also. I have handled the Magpul, it does not stack up to the Titan IMO

Thank you.
The bravo are not available yet. At least i haven't received an in stock notification from them yet .
It would be another 50 for the adjustable lop as well so price is the same as a decked out Titan.
The krg is on my radar
My receiver isn't canted so im sure it would be ok in the titan barrel channel.

The kid and other aluminum ar type chassis are to short in the front for my liking .
Its a shame as i have a nib mdt fully adjustable ar carbine stock too.
Im going to hold out for black friday and see what deals are around.

Anyone know why Kidd is selling their rifles with a Magpul hunter if it is flimsy? Never heard anything negative about Titan. If I was in the market it would be the Titan or one of the chassis. I would like the titan for off hand shooting.

Ive had many many a 10/22 stock and from what I have learned you will either need to get a chassis or a well bedded Laminate stock to prevent that flex from loading the bipod like a centerfire rig. Im saying this because when Ive watched people "load" a bipod they normally are pretty aggressive. I personally do not load a bipod with my little stuff. Personal preference. Do a search for Tony Mele stocks or a Boyds or try the Titan but to me ill wager the plasticy make of it wont pass your loading technic.

Good luck chose wisely

I have one, it's not a problem to load a bipod when using it. I certainly prefer it over a boyds, I have one of those too.

Also a thing to consider is action fit. For est out of the box fit id say Tony Mele stock but if you go Titan get the "Spike" should maje you plenty happy with fit then. One thing ill add about the Titan is there customer service is absolutely fantastic. None better.

While I wait for black friday deals I did this.
I machined an aluminum spine from 5/8 square for my hunter stock.
Its crude but worked.
Once installed its hidden .
It took 90 percent of flex out of the stock
