Anyone who tells you that the Chinese clones are crap and you should get an American classic, is like someone telling you not to get a Hyundai to commute to work, but to get a 1965 car from Detroit.
That is ok for a '65 car that was parked in a garage for decades and only has 50,000 miles. But all you can find or afford is a rusted out '65 with 400,000 miles.
Been there, done that.
Are you restoring antique lathes, or building rifles?
Yes Asian cars are crap. Commute to work in a Duesenberg.
That might be so, but after seeing some of the grizzly units that showed up rusty, banged up, and looking like they have been run over by a train... i'd be nervous to commit a big chunk of money.
as with cars, guns, horses, dogs, women, and everything else... caveat emptor
