IF it wasn’t for the fact that people are making such a fuss for something essentially on par with the seasonal flu, I might be more understanding. The risk doesn’t warrant the actions.
Look at the risks of getting into an automobile. Nearly 1.25 million people are killed in car accidents each year in the US. That means, on average, auto accidents cause 3,287 deaths per day. An additional 20-50 million people are injured or disabled.

You need to check your statistics.
1.2 million each year in the USA? Maybe in the world but not in the USA. Our population is only 325 million or so. 20-50 million being injured or disabled every year?

Ok, you’re right. The stat said it was US but according to NTSA US fatalities are ~40k/year.
