    Bracing.

We are BRACING for a high number of Covid infections from Thanksgiving travel.

Im guessing that will be the common media term.

When I think 'brace' lately, I think of the extension I just put on my AR pistol, courtesy of an army sniper shooting buddy. Non sequitur?

Don't cancel them just take everything above $100,000 each inclusive of endorsements and redistribute it to teachers.

Nah, should be cancelled. Its alarming they are allowed to continue.

Many of these universities are (at least to an extent) publically funded, seems to only make sense to shut it down. I dont want my tax dollars killing any grandmas. Especially something so non essential...Plus, it certainly inceases risk for the players, yes? How could it not? Something tells me there is quite a bit of money involved..

And while pro sports are private businesses, many of the stadiums are at least in part, either partially publically funded, or subsidized with taxes.

I can be ok with pro sports continuing...i guess...but maybe in a non publically subsidized venue?

I'm at universal orlando for the week.

So far the airports were silly. Many people using masks with blow off valves. Nobody said a thing.

I've seen people walking around the park with goggles and shield and masks. Most people are trying to cheat and pull it under their noses so they can breathe.

We have been taking 5 minute breaks in whatever lonely corner we can find and eating/drinking way too much to get a decent breath and not get yelled at.

Everything I've seen is complete feel good nonsense. If they actually cared there would be a hell of a lot more cleaning going on, especially in the airport/plane.

But the kids are enjoying harry potter stuff, and they're limited to 30% capacity, so I guess it's worth putting up with the nonsense.

I would position that if people were falling out in the streets bleeding about the anus, govt restrictions wouldnt be necessary. and while it is possible to have a serious disease yet not to this level. I tend to think most people are able to (even without realizing...) to determine the lethality of a threat through direct observation. Sure, darwin and all, but thats a very small number...why? Because darwin...duh, lol.

Humans have inherent instict for survival. Agreed, that the will to survive varies on a wide spectrum, but like other animalistic senses, is still always playing a factor into our decision making processes.

While you would have idiots (the type that spit on produce at the market), the general and local public would cure that issue pretty quick...in most cases in itself would be a strong deterrent...you know, just apply darwin again...

I argue that people wouldnt NEED to be told not to gather for (insert any reason), if their direct observations indicated it was a high risk activity....

So the its for your own good mantra, hardly holds water. Especially when...

Its the picking and choosing of winners and losers which is doing the most damage. perhaps there is a reason for the specific targeting...? Idk. Sports ok, alcohol after 5, not so much. Walmart is ok, marie cutting hair in a small salon, not. protesting is ok, religious gatherings not..etc.
