In their eyes, Tom was old, white, and therefor suspected to be an old-line 60s Liberal. Brokaw is just trying to grab some attention for himself. Nobody listens to him anymore. He's not relevant. The shameless self promoter is nothing now that he isn't on the stage of nightly news. It pissed me off having to listen to his paid for self rightous comments on conservative talk radio commercials. He wanted to be the next Paul Harvey, and he sucked/failed. Just Die already.
